"It would be impossible to review this business only because it has become so much more to me and my family-- precisely because we were treated like family. I had the divine fortune to learn of STG from the manager of Manny's Moving. I had to rely on intuition by voice because I was orchestrating my brother's move from Pompano Beach FL to Rockville MD from my home in Pittsburgh. This was not a typical move request and the purging and packing had to be very delicate, since it would be stranger to stranger in helping to have items purged and donated before packing could begin. This was a several months project with many moving parts. My niece in Washington DC jumped right in between her full time job, and as a mother, to make sure we stayed on the same page. It was a team effort that started with great detail and coordination. We managed to pull it together, to find closure on our many fronts and tasks, and all with quiet grace and genuine love. On the practical side: I checked several places and pricing seemed similar. Frankly I went by conversation and tone. I felt I resonated with STG. What was estimated for the period of work, was very close towhat we actually paid. We were in regular contact by phone or text. Consistent follow through and a great sense of humor! Sandy organized the move, showed me what I needed to purge and got me set up in the new house with very little stress!! She worked with the mover, instructed them as to where items went and overall did everything!! Another time was when we had to put my mother into a nursing home. She had lived in a small condo but had a lot of stuff crammed into it.
